It is often very easy to join a company and begin to sell the product or service. Well at least we think it will be easy. But every time you do a presentation there seems to be something holding you back from giving it your all. In a lot of cases I think we know what the answer is and we tend to overlook the obvious. During a presentation it is important to have confidence in the product or service you are selling otherwise you cannot put the passion for the product or service in the presentation for all to see. When prospective customers see the passion you have for your product or service they are more likely to purchase from you. They need to see your belief in what you are recommending. I know a distributor who is in the same company but they had been in about a year longer. During a conversation they came out and asked if the products really work. They had never tried the products they were selling. Our response was yes they really do work and you need to try them. I see now that their presentations are more confident and business is good. You need to use the products to gain confidence in them and if you find the products don’t do what they are intended for then maybe you may want to change companies and find one where the products build your confidence by performing as intended.
When approaching prospective business partners you need to have confidence in the company. Here are some questions you will need to answer truthfully for you to have confidence in the company: Am I being paid fairly for the business I am bring them? Is the company management and ownership honest and do they plan to be in business for the long-haul? Do I get the help I need when I need it? If I make a mistake is the company willing to work with me and teach me the proper way to operate or will they just terminate me? Do they take care of me and my customers when something goes wrong and are they willing to work with me to make it right? Do I feel confident when I recommend my company or is there an issue I need to get an answer for? If you do not feel comfortable with the company you are in then it may be time for a change because whether you know it or not your presentation will show your apprehension and lack of confidence.
During a presentation prospective customers and prospective business partners will feel any confidence or lack of confidence which will help lead them to join you or buy from you, or not.
