Every now and again we read of a really good story of success. Here is a really good story that happened for our good friend Stephen Ray Porter of Hannibal, MO. Steve is a criminal trial lawyer who has been a network marketer for 35 years with little success. That is, until he learned to take action and apply a few simple skills from Tom ‘Big Al’ Schreiter.
Skills really do work but only when they are applied and put into practice. There is probably no better network marketing generic trainer today than Tom Big Al Schreiter. Tom used and still uses these skills to build his business and below you will read Steven Ray Porters story of what is possible when you do use Tom’ training.

This morning, my wife asked me to go get her a weekend newspaper. I drove to our local convenience store, bought the paper, and got into my vehicle to head back home. I waved at one of the employees I talk to regularly. He waved and came over to talk.
He asked me what I did for a living. I told him that I am a trial lawyer and that I also own a very successful home business.
When he asked me about my internet business, I told him that I could give him a complete business presentation but that it would take an entire 60 seconds. I asked him when he could set aside a whole 60 seconds, and he replied, “How about right now?”
I told him that in order for him to be successful in my business, you have to be able to do these three things:
- Don’t change. Keep recommending and promoting the things you like as you always have, like your favourite thing to do on weekends, your favourite restaurants, your favourite movies. I told him that most people do network marketing everyday but they just don’t get paid for it.
- Sometime in your lifetime, you have to find four people who feel the same way that you do about this business. I told him the name of my company and that they have life-changing products that help people feel better and live better. I told him that he doesn’t have to find all 4 people right away. Pace yourself! Find one a month, one a year, one a decade.
- And between everyone that you talk to and everyone that they talk to and everyone that they talk to forever and ever and ever, you eventually accumulate about 300 people who use our products on a regular basis and you would earn between $6000 and $7500 per month. That’s it. The rest is up to you. What do you think?
He walked back to the store, got a pen and a piece of paper and came back to my vehicle. I wrote the two websites and my phone number and told him to call me if he liked what he saw.
Now how easy was that!? I’ve never had these kinds of results before. All I had to do was do what Big Al said to do, and now I’m building my business and having fun!
