We all look at life differently so our perception of success differs as well. We even sometimes judge success of another person by our own sense of what success is based on our own feeling of what success is to ourselves. We judge many things by our own paradigm when we should look through the eyes of the one we are judging. The late Jim Rohn uses an illustration which fits perfectly into what success really is. What do you think success is? Your idea of success is a very personal view and one that is yours alone. Others may share the same idea of success but yours will only satisfy you.
There is that class reunion where everyone that goes begins to prepare to look their best. It often seems to be a contest where everyone begins to wonder who has been the most successful. They just can’t wait to see what has happened in the life of their other class mates. It is unfortunate but some of those that go to the reunion base success on how big the income is, what luxuries you have afforded and what kind of vehicle you own. That may be their meaning of success but not yours. How do you judge other peoples success?
I was listening to a recording of a Jim Rohn seminar where he gives his thought on what success truly is. If you have heard of Jim Rohn and know anything about him you would admit that he has been very successful in life. For a number of years Jim has held seminars around the world teaching a philosophy that promoted success in business, life in general, family and relationships. He has changed the lives of very many people and move them to success with his words of wisdom. In the recording I was listening to he goes on to describe what success is. In the illustration he referred to a man who left the general public life to live in a log cabin in the mountains. It was a simplistic lifestyle which afforded very little luxury. How can this be successful? Jim goes on to say that the man had saved his money to be able to buy the log cabin and land and then began living his dream. This is a very successful man Jim Rohn stated because he has reached his dream and living the life he chose. Not everyone is successful enough to ever live the dream they hold dear.
Success is not always based on the amount of money or luxuries afforded but based upon the dream you hold dear. It may be helping others, being able to travel the world, having a family as you have envisioned, living a debt free life and even being able to retire when you want where you want and with whom you want. Success cannot always be judged upon the amount of money and luxuries an individual has because it may not be something they are dreaming of. Frustrated Network Marketer–When Does My Big Ship Come In?
Very often as a network marketing team leader you will sponsor a new business partner into your business. Your new business partner is beginning to get off the ground and then comes the question. “When does the really big money come?” How do you answer that question? There are many answers to that question but the only answer is a truth filled answer. It may not be exactly what they were hoping for but the truth is the truth is the truth. A new business partner may become a Frustrated Network Marketer–When Does My Big Ship Come In? especially when basing their question upon false information about the industry they have heard.
The network marketing industry has been give a false impression by those who have exploited the public. Promises of getting very rich in a very short period of time has been advertised and pushed into the publics beliefs. Many of the get rich schemes are products of scammers who have set up false expectations of getting rich in a short period of time with very little or no work involves as well as no selling required. If you do your research on the opportunity before you join you would find the business model of this type of scheme goes against the regulations the Federal Trade Commission has put in place to protect the public. It is unfortunate but many loose their money when they join and as they begin to prosper the FTC orders them to shut down the business due to the infractions of the rules of how to conduct business. Many distributors in the business also may find themselves responsible to pay back money to those they brought into the opportunity and could even face prison terms.
If you have joined an opportunity or are looking into one you need to realize that legal business are based upon selling a product, in a bottle, bag or box, or a service that benefits the purchasing public. There must be a product or service sold to be compliant with the FTC.
If you are a new business partner and you are wondering when your big ship is coming in and you understand there must be a product or service sold to earn commissions then the answer will be based upon sales. If you want to earn the “BIG DOLLARS” you must increase your sales volume to be able to do this. In businesses where you are building your downline you will need to recruit new business partners to help increase your sales volume. Your commission check will grow according to how the compensation plan has been set up. Remember your “BIG MONEY” will come based upon what you do to grow your business.
Will it be easy? NO! It is going to take determination, an investment in yourself and persistently doing activities that build your business. You will need to make sure the activities you do are building your business and not just making you feel you are busy. You will need to reach out and build know, like and trust relationships and continue to stay in touch with your new friends. Relationships are very important in the industry but so is the skill of talking to people about

Successful Network Marketer–You Know What Your Talking About, But Do They?
When you first join an online business opportunity you are excited to get things going and begin to earn some money. Well the first thing to do is of course use the product you are promoting. This will give you a first hand experience with the product and what it does for you. This builds your confidence and sets up your testimonial on the product. You see word of mouth is one of the bet ways to get the word out about your product and the benefits it provides. Then comes along the dreaded skeptic who make negative claims on your product Successful Network Marketer–You Know What Your Talking About, But Do They?
To a new network marketer a sceptics comments can be devastating and shake their confidence. For the new marketer there are a few thing that you need to consider when these comments come your way. Has the person making these skeptical remarks ever tried the products you are offering for sale? If they have not then the comment has no founded truth or nothing to give it validity. Sometimes sceptical comments are made out of jealousy because the skeptic has never experienced the benefit you have gained from a product so how could you? Sometimes a skeptic is afraid you and your business may become more successful then they are and often they will make comments to try and make sure that it doesn’t happen. Does it seem fair that people do this? NO! but this is what happens in real life.
What can you do as a marketer? Well, first do your business and don’t let the negative comments about your business or product bring you down. If it is someone you associate with you may need to separate yourself from this person because whether you believe it or not, negativity can take a toll on you and your business. Where you have a factual belief in your product and business never let anyone change your belief or discourage you from succeeding. Believe you are worthy of success and then go for it with all you can and never give up. You don’t need to argue with a skeptic, just leave them alone and move on to success.
Skeptics can harm you and your business if you let them but my best advice is to remain promoting your business and products. Skeptics find that many products and business opportunities never work because they have made up their mind that it just won’t work before they even give it a chance and we all know the power of the mind.
I am reminded of a story which just happened recently. We had just given away one of our products recently as a part of a promotions contest. A young lady won and she tried the product which was very successful in accomplishing what the product promised. At this point she began promoting the product on her own when the dreaded skeptic made their comment. “ You must have photo shopped your pictures because if this really worked wouldn’t everyone in the world be thin also. Successful Network Marketer–Excitement Is Good For Business
Just recently Darlene my wife and business partner decided to do something to bring about some excitement while promoting product sales and the business opportunity. She set her plan in motion and shared it on the social networks. It generated the response she was looking for and more. Some people became very excited and joined in on the promotion and before long it went viral and word spread very quickly. To be a Successful Network Marketer–Excitement Is Good For Business.
Sometime we think that we have to get a whole crowd excited over what we are offering. The real truth is you just need to find that one person who is so very excited and very excited people cannot contain their excitement and before long it spreads. It may seem daunting to create excitement over your products or business opportunity but instead of trying to get the whole crowd excited just find the one. It may be way out of your comfort zone to generate crowd wide excitement so begin just by finding the one until you feel more comfortable with larger groups. Lack of confidence quite often comes from not knowing exactly what to say or do so starting small until you gain the skill you need can result in far less stress.
When you create excitement you soon find other people promoting your products or business opportunity on their own. They are not promoting because they feel they have to but because they have made a connection with the products or business opportunity. In my wife’s case she gave away a sample of the product as part of the promotion which set the excitement into motion and the winner of the product had a first hand experience with a product which deepened the excitement even more.
Successful network marketers realize that word of mouth is one of the very best promotion methods. When you have customers who have had an a-one experience with your products word will soon get around. When your product benefits a customer it is natural for them to tell others how the product has met a real need they have. People generally like to help other people so when a product you have has helped an individual meet a need and that person sees someone else with the same need or a very similar need they will pass along the information. They will do so because they are excited about the product and it also makes them feel good to help someone else in need.
Generating excitement for your products or business opportunity is a win situation for all. First you have supplied a solution to their need and secondly you are reaching your goals and dreams in life. This is accomplished by meeting the needs of people you do business with and generating excitement regarding your products and business opportunity. Just as I stated in the beginning Successful Network Marketer–Excitement Is Good For Business. You just may have to give away a product every now and then to get the ball rolling and sometimes that is all it takes.

Frustrated Network Marketer–When Adding One Still Equals Zero
So you have added a new business partner to your business but you just don’t seem to be growing. What could be the problem? In fact I have added several new business partners but nothing seems to be happening within my business that looks like growth. My monthly bonus check hasn’t even grown and I just can’t put my finger on the reason why. These new partners just don’t do anything to help my business. Don’t they want to make a great bonus check too? Just maybe they were never interested even though they were excited to join the opportunity. Frustrated Network Marketer–When Adding One Still Equals Zero there is a good reason for the lack of growth.
Have you spent any time with your new business partner? If you are thinking that all you had to do was sign them up then you have just discovered why your new business partners are not producing the result you were hoping for. Once you bring them into your business opportunity you take on a new set of responsibilities that you must tend to. If all you do is sign them up and forget about your new business partner you have just left them to flounder and eventually fail especially if they are new to the network marketing arena. Your role as the upline sponsor becomes one of being a teacher (mentor), friend, encourager as well as a helper. You need to be there for them.
Training and spending time with your new business partner gives you time to also strengthen and deepen your relationship with them. One of the very first things you will want to accomplish is to go through a checklist of tasks that will need to be done to set them on the way to success. You may need to help them set up any replicated company sites as well as explain to them their policies and procedures (binding contract) they have with the company. You will want to set them on the right track right away when it come to following policies. One that you will want to stress is compliance. That just means that they are aware of what they can say about the products they will be selling and how they can advertise them according to the policies. Keep in mind that is they make claims about a product that do not follow Federal Trade Commission and The Food and Drug Administrations guidelines your new business partner may find themselves in trouble with these two factions.
If your business partner is new to network marketing you may need to teach them how to set up Fan Pages on Facebook and other social sites. If they have chosen to advertise you may need to lend a hand there as well. Like most new business partners they are
going to want to know exactly what to say to promote the products and business opportunity. They will be looking to you for this information so be prepared to share some communication skills with them so they can confidently approach people. If you are new to the business yourself and sponsoring a new business partner and find yourself lacking in some of the communication skills then I would suggest finding a very successful network marketer like Tom “Big Al” Schreiter and subscribing to his site and learn these skills to pass on to your partners.
New business partners want to know how to do the business without having rejection. If you can teach them this skill it will go along way to growing their confidence. If as a sponsor you don’t have these skills to teach them then become a professional pointer and point them in the direction where they can learn the skills for success. You as a sponsor are not required to know everything but always be willing to learn yourself so you build your skill sets so you can pass them on to your team members. As the leader of your team set forth a good example so your team members can follow in your footsteps and in turn their team members will do the same.
