I am sure you will agree that as newbies to the network marketing industry the new person gets started in their business opportunity never thinking of Leadership and what is it all about.
The new person starts their business with a lot of excitement, enthusiasm and with big dreams of building a huge nest egg..a LOT of money!
However, they soon realize that running a business requires much more.
Having a sponsor is a given but also having support from your upline, downline or cross-line is also important, can you work and get help on all levels? In some companies you are not allowed to seek help and advice from leaders outside of your upline. You would be in breach of your own MLM contract in many cases if you sought help from someone that is cross-line to you.
Running a business requires The Essence of Leadership. The new person will begin to see that they are not only responsible for themselves, but for everyone they eventually sponsor on their team. Suddenly it is NOT all about the money, it is about being a leader.
As you grow you have to find a happy medium, a healthy balance in all areas of your lives so you can share your areas of expertise and talents with others. It is often said that to make more [money] you have to become more! Personal Development.
All the enthusiasm and excitement in the beginning is suddenly replaced with the hard facts that are overwhelming. Now there is the staunch truth that the new person has responsibilities which leads to frustration, confusion, self-doubt and fatigue.
With this in mind, why is it that many Network Marketers push their opportunities and products on us especially on social media sites like Facebook? Facebook has become known as in your Facebook, simply because the majority of network marketers are in your face fire hosing everyone with their deal. Pitching the business without ever taking the time to get to know who you are.
Look, numbers just do not lie. The harsh reality is that most will never make it in this industry. However, you do not have to take it lying down. My husband and I failed, but we never gave up, we kept getting up over and over again. Time after time we picked our selves up, dusted off the seat of our pants and proved to our selves that we could have success in this industry.
If success is what you REALLY want then why not start asking some questions when thinking of joining a company. Why not learn to be a critical thinker and ask yourself,
“WHY am I joining this particular business opportunity?”
Have I read the policies and procedures?
Do I know what to look for in the Policies and Procedures that could potentially bit me in the butt down the road?
When you read the words “continuing” or “ongoing” what does that really mean?
What do the words “at sole desecration of the company” mean?”
Can your sponsor tell you exactly what to say to get people interested in your business? If all your sponsor can tell you to do is to be positive, set some goals, learn all about your products to build your business, then they are not telling you word for word what to say to build your business.
Remember that you have to take time to learn exactly what to say to build your business, your sponsor can not learn these skills for you.
