Retention has always been an issue for network marketers. Your recruited business partners will not vanish any faster because of you then they would because of us, it has nothing to do with the economic times in which we live.
Here is what is going on in your prospects mind, just after they sign up.
The rejection and negative response received from family and friends weighs heavy when they are not as excited about the product or opportunity as you
Self doubt, can I really do this…we all have experienced this when we start something new or change things that are not in our “comfort” zone.
Buyers remorse usually in first week of joining.
You have to have discipline when discouragement comes and there is nothing more discouraging then seeing a partner vanish.
It seems like you spend more time waving and saying, “so long, see you later and all the best in your endeavours” than you spend training the new recruit.
How to keep your reps? Anyone can gain a belief from another’s good experiences and stories. Have your new reps get on training conference calls as soon as possible so they can listen to positive successful people. Tell your new rep that it is ok to ‘Borrow’ their belief until they can believe in themselves!
On the training calls a rule of thumb should be “No negativity”. Not because the negative doesn’t exist, but because negativity destroys belief.
You have to believe in the promise in order to attract people to you and to keep them. Do all you can to pass that belief on to your reps, team and your prospects.
Encourage your people to keep working at what we know will work. Help them find a comfortable style and help them to see the vision of why they started their business in the first place!
