Frustrated Network Marketer–Get Out Of the Starting Blocks

You’re never more grateful for being alive than after you’ve almost died,” ~ Aron Ralston.  Aron was a renowned mountain climber who had made a name for himself by becoming the 1st man to climb Colorado’s top 40 peaks in the dead of winter. Unfortunately, on a  climb in Utah’s Blue John Canyon, he suffered a freak accident.  A bolder fell and pinned his right arm to a crevasse wall. Some tough decisions followed in the next 5 days.  You know what, as network marketers we are probably not going to be faced with tough choices like this…but we will have to decide if we will carry on even when faced with frustration, struggles and fear.  Sometimes as a frustrated network marketer we never even get out of the starting blocks.  We fear to commit to our dream.  We fear success and we fear that we will fail in our attempts.

Aron_ralstonAfter 5 days of desperate attempts to free himself of that tremendous 800 pound boulder and the very real thoughts of facing death alone … while lost at the bottom of that pit… he did the unimaginable and the only thing possible to save his life… he amputated his own arm to free himself… Climbed out of the canyon… and then made it back the 20 miles to civilization.

Can you imagine having to make the decision to amputate your own arm in order to save your life? Could I do it, could I make that choice?  Could you?

Making a choice to commit to your online business is no ways near as tough.  It is a choice; a decision…the question is do you really want to change your life through the opportunity that God or fate; however you choose to see your opportunity, has provided you?

If you are wondering what all the fuss is about concerning Network Marketing and you have no idea what it is or how you can get started,…we recommend you read Are You Walking Past a Fortune which you can download from our site above. This is an opportunity for you to get the facts and have your questions answered so you can determine if Network Marketing/MLM is for you.

  1. Dave & Darlene:

Fantastic post!! As I have been discussing with various folks as of late the sooner we realize Network Marketing is Not a 100 yard dash to cash & More like a Marathon the better off & more prepared we will be for the tasks that face us. Like any good distance runner the True & committed MLMer KNOWS that they must pace themselves to reach success & be ready for BOTH the peaks & valleys that WILL come!!

  2. Hi Dave & Darlene,

That certain level of commitment is really tough for most people. That’s why we get so many opp-hoppers. They just won’t commit to their network marketing business like they would if they had put down $15K for a franchise.

    Great story!

  3. Frieke, Karen and Matt thanks for your comments.

So true most people get caught up in the “dash to fast cash” as Matt has referred to it. There is no commitment because of a minimal investment in most cases; minimal being anywhere from a few hundred to a couple of thousand dollars. MLM is a business, just like starting a business down town, without the downtown expenses and overhead.

There are reasons for not having the level of success we hoped for, which I will not go into in this post, just suffice it to say that if your opportunity is not working perhaps you should find out why. Find someone you can trust and ask for advice…a mentor.

Chances are it is because of the crumby policies and procedures coupled with the lousy compensation plan and lack of the other 4 pillars…
