Frustrated Network Marketer–Warning: Common Problem That Causes Rejection!

Have you ever consider why the imageprospect you have been speaking to turned into a dud?  Tom “Big Al” Schreiter, a legend in the network marketing industry says, “Prospects are neither good or bad but are neutral.  Bad prospects didn’t become bad until they spoke to us. Tom goes on to say, “it is because of what we said and did.”

When Tom (Big Al) started in the multi level marketing industry he went 22 months without recruiting anyone or selling a single product.  With frustration he began wondering if it was the company.  His upline asked him some soul searching questions.  Another distributor in the company, we will call Bob, was in the same town as Tom (Big Al).  The upline asked: “Is Bob from the same town as you are?  Is Bob recruiting into his business?  Is Bob selling products?”  Tom (Big Al) answered “Yes” to all three questions and the advice given to him was you had better figure it out because it is not the company’s fault.

Tom (Big Al) went and did figure it out and that finding made him the legend he is today.  You maybe asking how Tom Figured it out?  He stepped out and began studying people and learned how to communicate with them on a level that would bring in new business partners and sell products.

What Tom learned was he needed to be speaking to the subconscious mind of the prospect and not to theimage reasoning mind.  Tom likes to compare the size of the reasoning mind to that of a pea and the size of the subconscious mind to that of a large hotel.  Since most people make decisions with their subconscious mind it makes much more sense to use the language of that mind.  If you appeal to the reasoning mind it is this mind that comes up with all the reasons not to join you in business or buy your product(s) “REJECTION”.  There is nothing more damaging than rejection to a distributor and even more so to someone new to the business.

Frustrating MLM Presentations – How To Create A Qualified Prospect In Just 2 Minutes or Less

It is amazing really, some people are capable of creating a prospect in 2 minutes (or less), but still others struggle to create that perfect prospect with a frustrating MLM presentation that takes 3 hours. In my opinion, tomlydTom Big Al Schreiter is the king of the one minute presentation.  Today no one has time to listen to a 3 hour presentation, heck most will not give you 20 minutes.  Hopefully this article will explain “How To Create A Qualified Prospect In Just 2 Minutes or Less.”

First you need to be skilled in the necessary skills to “Make It” in this business.  Coming from “Wall Street”, being a traditional business owner, a doctor or a sanitary engineer  will NOT make you a success in MLM. Education and learning MLM skills however will make all the difference.

Does this sound familiar? You have chosen your opportunity,  now what?  Ah…a presentation to your prospect about your product or your MLM business opportunity. You gave the presentation and failed miserably.  Don’t beat yourself just yet.  Most fail in this area…simply because we do not know what to say…We can not just wing it though. Again the importance of education and learning MLM skills.

Would it be ok if you could learn to give a whole opportunity presentation/product presentation in less than 2 minutes?  How about in one minute? Just imagine giving a presentation while you are on an elevator or on break at work with a co-worker. Would this sound good to you?

Opportunities to give a presentation do present themselves and we have to know what to say and when to say it.  Just imagine someone leaning forward wanting to know more…

Well here are 3 simple steps you can use to create your amazing 1 or 2 minute presentation that will have prospects begging you for much more information.

REJECTION FREE TIPS FROM TOM BIG AL SCHREITER

  • Present YOU as the solution to your prospects problem…become the solution

Tom tells us that your very first sentence is the most important part of your whole presentation. So make it good. Tom also tells us that you have to get past your prospects “salesman” alarms…the prospect will decide in less than 10 seconds if they will continue to listen to you.

  • Prospects want to know 3 basic things:
  1. What kind of business are you in?
  2. How much money can I make?
  3. What do I have to do to earn that money?
  • Prospects do  not really care what your business is…

If you build a good relationship with them they would sell bubble gum or garbage can covers even moon rocks if they see what you have as a solution to their problem. Your prospect wants to know “what is in it for them” and “how you are going to be able to assist them”.

Be listening for opportunities to present themselves…remember the timing may not be right for your prospect so get a date and time that would be good for them to listen to a short presentation.

Here is a prime example of a good opportunity to give a presentation….

When people tell me that they are tired or feel trapped in their job and need some extra cash, we ask…

“Would you like to do something about it?”

Most people say they would love to know how they could have more energy or have an extra income.

I would be happy to tell you…when could you set aside a whole one minute for me to tell you what I do.

Most people respond “right now”, so I say:

I am in the health and wellness business which means I show people how to feel 18 again but with better judgement by drinking a healthy energy drink, by eating great tasting diet cookies and by drinking diet shakes to help people lose weight so they can have lots of energy to take care of their family and start enjoying life again. I show people how they can earn extra money and have more time freedom and live healthier lives, doing something they already do but are not getting paid to do.”

Would it be ok if you could do the same thing…  all you have to do is find 4 people who feel the same way you do and want to feel younger, have more energy and want to earn an extra pay check a month.

There you have it, you have created by listening for a good opportunity a qualified prospect in less than 2 minutes.  Less than 1 minute really….you have shown that you just may be a solution to their problem with your opening sentence in your presentation. Give the presentation…the rest IS up to them.

MLM Today–Is Your MLM Income Bullet Proof

I would imagine that you (reading this article) do NOT like to be sold. But in MLM Today is your MLM income bullet proof?

You walk into your local hardware store, looking for a new power drill;  you just want to look around, pick out what YOU want. You don’t want some sales clerk hovering over you explaining that this other power tool by a different company is way better (because the price tag is higher).  When you have had a moment to think, look, touch and explore the new tool; maybe, just maybe you will ask for a clerk to help explain a feature that you are not positive about and make a decision based on your own belief about the product.

How To Build Your Business!

Many network marketers when starting out have heard that they HAVE to change.  They have to become more aggressive and push their deal.  They are instructed to make a list of friends & family and go spill the beans all over them, giving them way more information than is required or requested about their new business opportunity. You become the Terminator; the Arnold Schwarzenegger of Network Marketing, forcing them into your  business.

Look for The Volunteers:

Target the market and find people who already are looking for the opportunity that YOU are offering. Look for people who already believe in network marketing. Do not go out and try to build  a dream for those who know nothing about MLM to get them in the business. 

After you find the volunteer, you still can not force feed them your business.  You have to find out if what you are offering will benefit them and be a solution for what they think they are looking for. They may be looking for a better way to create an additional income from home, but it still may not be YOUR deal that creates the dream they want.

Even when you find a group of volunteers who raise their hand to join your opportunity, they may not be the warrior type.

Talk to the people who believe, people you do not have to convince that network marketing is the only possible opportunity left for the average person to create a substantial income while working from home.  Those people are warriors. Those people are ready to take action.  Those are the people you want. Build relationships with those people and never, never, never quit building the relationship with them!

Heavy hitters talk about building relationships. The truth is, they barely have a relationship with their spouse or their kids, and they certainly do not have one with their business partners. They become a chatterbox, rambling on about relationships, but they don’t know how to build one. They bring people into their business with a heavy fist and then leave them to struggle alone.  The heavy hitter never builds a relationship with them and within a matter of months the new recruit is gone. But the heavy hitter never has a problem with that because he just plugs the hole again with another unsuspecting victim. The heavy hitter could build a HUGE empire if they would only stop long enough to nurture a relationship.  The people they bring in would have a sense of worth and belonging and stay long enough to see just how profitable MLM can be.

Is Your MLM Income Bullet Proof?

What if your MLM company went out of business tomorrow, today or next week? I hear that snicker of disbelief.  Don’t laugh – it has happened to many, many people in this business. (E-Fusion, YTB  Your Travel Biz, ITV Ventures, WoW Mobile, Fortune High Tech Marketing and Synaura) just to mention a few that have shut their doors) Really, what would you do? Is it possible that you would you have to start over again to build new in your next venture without imageanyone from the previous venture following you?

NOT if you have taken the time and made the effort to build “know, like, & trust,” relationships, then your people will follow you to your next company. They will trust in your judgment.

If you haven’t built those relationships, your MLM future is on “Start-Up” mode again and very difficult to predict the outcome.

Your success depends on the relationships you can build so why take a chance? You HAVE to work hard and keep close relationships with each team partner. This is an approach that will pay off for you big-time, whether your current company is around forever or not.

Realize this…YOU are perfect just as you are.  Everybody on your team is perfect just like they are.

  1. They don’t need to change.
  2. They don’t need to become a pushy, aggressive salesperson.

Ninety-two per-cent of the world’s population is sales RESISTANT, so stop trying to sell and convince your downline to become sales people. MLM is NOT about SALES.

Many top leaders and trainers will tell you this very same truth. Tom Schreiter, Michael Oliver and  Art Jonak to name a few, know that you have to build relationships and not offer what we think someone needs.  We have to discover if what we have to offer will be a solution to our prospect’s problem.

MLM Today-Systems Are Duplicatable

Systems are duplicatable but people are not. However you have to WANT TO DUPLICATE, and you have to practice, practice, practice!

Anna Burden did not duplicate Lulu and the Lampshades, I’m Gonna Miss You When You’re Gone, without commitment to a goal, or a commitment to show up and practice. She made sacrifices in her time and accomplished her goal. Commit to a purpose.

You either want to achieve your dream or not.  The alternative route is to do things YOUR way.  Remember this, “People do not duplicate but systems do.”

If you are fortunate enough to have a mentor/s who are willing to hold your hand and walk with you while you learn new skills then take their hand and never let go…not until you are ready to take the training wheels off.  There is no shame in using training wheels while you grow into the leader who is within you.

Remember that what you say to yourself (your self-talk) during the run of a day is also part of a duplicatable system if indeed it is being taught to you by your mentors.  What you say to yourself during the run of a day will have a direct impact on the results that you receive when using a proven duplicatable system.

If you believe and say to yourself that you will not have anyone to talk to, then you will have no one to talk to.  If you believe and say no one wants the information that you have for them, then no one will want your information.

If you have prospects who opt in to your info (whatever your widget is) and you have a strong belief that each of your clients should react with excitement and go through all your info as you went through it as quickly as you did, then be prepared for heartache. People are like a box of chocolates, you never know what you are going to get.  Disbelief will set in on your proven duplicatable system that IS working for others on your team, but not you. Because you decide to do it YOUR way and get away from the proven recipe.

People have their own lives and things often get in the way of what they want to accomplish. So to expect that your prospect will read all your information; go through all your training at the pace that you went through it, it is ridiculous. Take the volunteers and never assume.  But you must remember that for you to find the volunteers you have to allow the system to sort through the dead beats, the not so interested in your widget. Move on and  take the next sign up.

If you are in a proven duplicatable system then commit to show up, commit to being COACHABLE (mentored), commit to do the WORK, commit to making a SACRIFICE, commit to drop your own AGENDA.

Learn to be committed and confident, pull the trigger and then take action immediately, results you will see.
